Summary:

The turbulence and drastic changes in the political economy of the region and the aftermath of the debt crises of some European countries have shaken the world and kick-started another round of global recession. In light of this, Mrs. Maria Castillo Fernandez will discuss the latest developments and the prospects for the European Union. This lecture series is co-organized by the General Education Unit and the European Studies Program.

This is the first session of this lecture series on the future of the European Union, followed by lectures by the German Consul-General and Italian Consul-General in Hong Kong.
